Île d’Orléans, Québec, Canada 🇨🇦
We discover one of the most beautiful gardens in Canada on the magnificent Île d'Orléans, located near Quebec City. The Seigneurie de l'île d'Orléans is a farm made up of multiple thematic gardens laid out on nearly 10 hectares bordering the St. Lawrence River waterway. It offers a wide range of attractions in an enchanting and picturesque environment with its flowered areas decorated with water and small fruits. You will be able to admire its Royal Alley lined with crabapple trees and statues, an arched stone bridge, medieval towers, an Italian porcelain podium, the remains of a sawmill, a vineyard as well as a 70-foot waterfall. There is also a lavender cultivation field with nearly 75,000 plants of this plant with a thousand and one virtues. Whether for its perfume or its medicinal properties, its flowers were already used in Roman times to preserve linen and perfume baths.
Accessible from June to October, these gardens are ideal for relaxation, observation of Quebec floral species, photography, picnics and family outings. They are established on an enchanting site and are well worth a visit!
